The Caribbean Basin is usually thought of as the Atlantic Ocean islands and coastline between North and South America. Students often decide to research in the Caribbean due to the relatively inexpensive cost of studies and cost of living, as compared to U.S. equivalents, and to enjoy the recreational and social activities available in this tropical region.
