Scholarships For Masters Programs Abroad
Scholarships for Masters Programs Abroad are available for students pursuing their Bachelor’s degree or higher degrees. Most programs are not funded by the United States government and therefore, the only source of funding available is from private foundations and individual donors. These scholarships are awarded based on merit, academic achievement, financial need, and to encourage students to travel and explore the world.
The scholarships for Masters Programs Abroad are offered through the Council of International Baccalaureate (COIB) which is a private, non-profit organization. This organization was founded in 1975 and the idea was started by Professor Henry P. Babb, who was trying to get other professors interested in extending their teaching abroad. There are currently over 600 institutions which have cooperated with the Council to extend education and training courses to students.
The Council also offers various awards to students. The Scholarships for Masters Program Abroad program and the Master’s Abroad Scholarship (known as the Excellence in Living Awards) are just two of the numerous awards that are given to students. These awards are available for students to participate in any COIB approved program. These programs give students the opportunity to live and work in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and North America. These scholarships are ideal for students interested in pursuing their education and earn a Master’s degree at the same time.
