Studying at an English Speaking University in Europe
There are English-speaking universities in Europe. Some of them are universities that you can enroll in to gain a university degree in English and others are colleges that can help you improve your English grammar. There are also many web sites where you can research the quality of these universities. One of the better online information websites is Oxford English Dictionary. They also have an online guide which lists the top 100 universities in Europe. In the US, you can find such universities as Oberlin College in Ohio and Newberry College in Florida. In Canada, you can find such universities as University of Calgary, University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, and University of Manitoba.
When you register at any of these universities in Europe, you will find that they all have the same requirements for admission. For example, you must be a citizen of the country that the college or university is in. You must also hold a Bachelor’s degree in English language and English as a Second Language. You will not be able to get in without this, but if you do, you may have to wait several years before you are admitted. You will also have to have prior teaching experience, even if it is minimal. Another requirement is that you have to be a native English speaker. If you cannot speak English, you cannot apply and the college will not accept you either.
All the colleges and universities have several courses and options for admission. Some of them have free tuition and some require you to pay up. Once you submit your application, they will inform you when you can come to visit them in person and sign up for classes. If you do not have the money, there are two ways you can use to attend classes: either online or on campus.
