Finding a Graduate Program in Europe

A graduate program in Europe can help you take the next step in your career. Graduate schools can be found in a variety of areas, including information technology, marketing, and sales. Often, the programs are shorter than those in the U.S. and are more affordable.

Many programs are offered in English. This can be important to students who speak English as a second language. You’ll also want to find a program that offers professional development. If you’re not sure where to start, you can check out Beyond the States, which lists top-ranking graduate schools in Europe.

Many masters degree programs include an internship. It’s a great way to gain practical experience. However, you’ll need to meet with your internship supervisor to make sure you get the most out of the program. The internship can last a few weeks or a year, and you can continue working with internship organizations after you graduate.

Some graduate programs are available to non-EU citizens, too. For instance, the ETH Zurich offers affordable STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) English-taught masters degrees in Europe. Also, the EU has programs that encourage mobility in higher education.

Another option is to join the Erasmus+ program. These programs allow you to study in several different countries and receive fully-funded scholarships. Typically, you’ll need to complete one thesis in each country you study in.

Besides the benefits of the scholarship, you’ll also have access to French health care and a residence visa. Students who participate in the TAPIF program often return to France after graduation.
