The Council on International Educational Exchange offers several programs. These include gap year programs, semester and year abroad programs, and internship opportunities. A CIEE scholarship may be awarded to a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or foreign student.

If a high school student wants to pursue a college education, he or she can apply for a CIEE scholarship to cover the costs of tuition. The scholarship will cover up to 100% of the costs of the placement.

Students can also volunteer their time to help others in their community or on Indian reservations. Volunteering opens a window into a new culture and allows students to see the impact of international relations on local communities.

Students can take advantage of the Global Vision International volunteer program. Global Vision International placements range from one week to a year and can be both educational and enriching.
