Canada Student Visa Requirements 2016

If you are an international student and want to study in Canada, you should first apply for a study permit. You can either do it in person at the Canadian Embassy or High Commission or online at the CIC website.

In addition, you must also show proof of financial support. This includes evidence that you have enough money to pay for the tuition fees and other living expenses while you are studying in Canada. It may also include information about your bank account details for the last four months. The Canadian government also requires you to submit a letter of acceptance from the educational institute you wish to attend.

You may also be required to provide a medical examination, depending on the type of visa you are applying for. You should also have a valid passport and a TRV. A TRV is a document that allows you to travel to and from Canada.

Study permits are not issued for courses of six months or less. Students who wish to attend a university or college in Canada must apply for a Canadian Study Permit. These applications can take up to 12 weeks.

To apply for a study permit, you must have a valid passport and proof of your financial support. If you are going to work while you are studying, you will also need a post-graduation work permit.

There are several different types of study visas. One is the Student Direct Stream. For this type of visa, you must have a minimum of CAD$ 10,000 in a Guaranteed Investment Certificate. Another category is the non-SDS. This category requires you to demonstrate language proficiency in English.
